Jonathan M Ewart is the founder and director of the Living Room Reading Series. He is a native of Concord and has had a lifetime love of theatre. He has worked with almost every theatre company in the Charlotte-Metrolina area in the past 36 years. He has also appeared in the film The Foot Fist Way, the HBO series Eastbound and Down and commercials for Bud Light Seltzer (Super Bowl 2020) and NC Education Lottery.

Favorite shows include Disaster the Musical, Benedictions, Orphans,and Corpus Christi. His favorite LRRS shows include August: Osage County, The Babylon Line, Side Man, and Barbara's Wedding. Thank you for supporting Live theatre and especially the Living Room Reading Series for the past 14 years/13 seasons.

Meredith McBride Schaefer is excited to return to the OCT stage for the first time since her high school theatre days! Favorite performances include various roles and stunts over four summers with The Lost Colony Outdoor Drama (including falling off a roof 100+ times!), several all-female Shakespeare plays with Charlotte's own Chickspeare, and several murder-mysteries and semi-improv shows with Blue Monkey Theatre. Speaking of murder mysteries, catch Meredith back on the OCT stage in October as Helga in the mysterious and suspenseful Night Watch.

Iesha Nyree is happy to return to the Living Room Reading Series. She was last seen performing with Arts for All’s Theatre on the Beach: Macbeth, or the play that Must Not Be Named. She has appeared in many local theatre productions over the past twenty years and currently works as a professional voice-over talent. She is the proud mom of two awesome kids and entirely too many pets.

Shelby Annas is thrilled to be joining such a spectacular group of friends - new and old - with the Living Room Reading Series! A North Carolina native and avid theatre nerd, she has acted, stage managed, and photographed for several local community theatres. Most recently, you may have seen her in productions with Matthews Playhouse, Queen City Concerts, Waxhaw Community Theatre, Rock Hill Theatre, CPCC, and Union County Playmakers to name a few. She’s excited to work with a cast of such fun and entertaining personalities and thankful to Jonathan for including her in this bunch!”

Mindy Goldstein is very excited to have her debut at Old Courthouse Theatre with the Living Room Reading Series in Significant Other. She has most recently lit up the stage with her vibrant personality at JStage and with Dilworth Players. Her favorite roles she has played have been Yente’ in Fiddler on the Roof and Grandpa George in Willy Wonka, just to name a few! Mindy would like to give thanks to Jonathan Ewart for entrusting her in this show.

Mindy dedicates this show to the memory of Glynis Robbins.

Andrew Williams is excited to be a part of this reading! Andrew has been performing on the stage since the sixth grade when he was growing up in Illinois. Since then, nothing has kept him from the theatre, even after his move to Charlotte. Andrew has enjoyed roles such as Ram in Heathers the Musical, Bob Cratchit in Scrooge, and Brick in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. As always, Andrew is excited to work with his fellow cast mates, and ever thankful to the people who have helped him every step of the way.

Jeremy Cartee is excited to partner with the Living Room Reading Series for the first time. Most recently he has worked with Matthews Playhouse in their productions of CLUE, Pinocchio, and It’s a Wonderful Life as well as You Can’t Take it with You at CPCC. Jeremy has lived in Charlotte for twenty years and is the proud father of two amazing teenagers who share his love of theatre.
